Visual checks and inspection

The security search of an aircraft is a governed, targeted and wholly procedural operation. AIC AIRPORTS carries it out in line with the procedures, instructions, training and security clearances applicable to the scope entrusted to it, following the same sequence at every job, with documented traceability.

Our scope of work

The security search of aircraft consists in examining, to a defined procedure, the areas of the aircraft designated in the scope entrusted to us, in order to detect any prohibited articles or unidentified items and report them immediately.

It does not constitute an offer of surveillance, private security, passenger control, screening and inspection, or airport-wide security. It is carried out on the aircraft, within a defined scope, under the responsibility and instructions of the client.

The scope is defined by the client and settled in writing before any intervention.

  1. Visual checks and inspection according to the defined protocols, in the areas set out in the specifications.

  2. The order in which areas are examined, as set out in the applicable procedure.

  3. Reporting and handover arrangements.

  4. Conditions for resuming or halting the operation.

How we work

  1. Staff

    The agents assigned are trained for the scope entrusted to us and hold the airport identification badges required for the areas concerned.

  2. Procedure

    The sequence is identical at every job. Where the window does not allow it to be carried out in full, we say so.

  3. Coordination

    The job is coordinated with the client's teams, in particular on the order of passage where several operations are carried out on the same aircraft.

Constraints taken into account:

  • the actual operating window
  • access and movement in restricted areas
  • concurrent activity around the aircraft
  • the operator's instructions
  • confidentiality obligations covering the procedures applied

Quality control

Every job is recorded in a traceability record stating:

  • the aircraft concerned
  • the date and time
  • the scope covered
  • the agents involved
  • any observations

It is sent to the client in the format and at the frequency agreed, and kept for the period set out in the contract.

Confidentiality applies in full to the procedures applied, the instructions received and the observations made.
